Important Notice
If you’ve already set up your SafePal wallet and can’t locate your recovery phrase, or you’re having pairing issues between the hardware device and the mobile app, stop before you reset anything.
SafePal’s hardware wallets don’t store your coins; they store your private keys. Those keys are generated and signed inside the device itself (S1, S1 Pro, or Bluetooth X1) and never touch your phone. If you reset, delete, or update without confirming your recovery seed first, you could permanently lose access.
Here’s why:
- The SafePal hardware wallet is air-gapped (S1/S1 Pro) or Bluetooth-isolated (X1). The keys never sync to cloud or app.
- The mobile app is only a control panel, it shows balances and signs transactions visually via QR or Bluetooth.
- Deleting the app, or unpairing the device, doesn’t delete your coins, but losing the seed phrase generated on the hardware does.
If you’re in this situation, don’t panic. This guide will help you:
- Confirm and secure your seed phrase from the device.
- Test wallet recovery between hardware and app safely.
- Move or re-pair your wallet on a new phone or new device.
Follow each step carefully, and never enter your recovery phrase into any mobile app, website, or computer. It belongs only to the hardware wallet.
